Who is it for:

In accordance with STCW, all persons wishing to serve onboard vessels that are subject to the IGF code shall have attended the 'Basic' training whilst the 'Advanced' training should be attended by those personnel who will be directly engaged in the handling and storage of the fuel.

Syllabus:

Basic Course: 2 days duration covering the following subjects:

  • Properties of IGF Fuels
  • Control Measures
  • Gas measuring instruments
  • Safety Equipment
  • Safe Working Practices
  • Shipboard Procedures
  • Fuel Gas Handling Systems
  • Fuel Storage Systems

Methodology: Mixture of lectures, discussion, practical demonstrations and videos.

Assessments: The course is in three sections, with an assesment after each section of the course. To pass the course students must have 100% attendance an achieve an overall pass rate for the assessments of 70%.

Certification: Upon successfullly passing the assessments GTT Training will issue a certificate on behalf of the Liberian Flag authority. For the Singapore MPA the certificate will be issued by Wavelink Maritime Institute

Duration: 2 days

Location: For the Liberian Flag Authority the course can be run 'ONLINE' or at our dedicated training centre located at St Remy les Chevreuse, 40 mins west of Paris.
For the Singapore MPA the course is run Face to Face at out Partner location in Singapore, Wavelink Maritime Institute.

Student Numbers: Minimum number of students required 6. Maximum number of students 24.

Price: Basic = £750 (ex VAT),

Approval: Liberian Administration for Online and Face to Face courses and the Singapore MPA for Face to Face courses only, via Wavelink Maritime Institute.

 
 
 

Payments: For Liberian Flag Authority courses, upon confirmation that the course will run GTT Training Ltd will issue an invoice using the details provided on the registration form. Except when separate arrangements have been agreed in advance, full payment will be required within 30 days of the invoice date, or prior to the commencement date of the course, whichever is earlier. Payment should be made into the GTT Training Ltd account as per the instructions on the invoice(s). Payments can also be made by credit card or PayPal, please follow the instructions on the invoice. Please ensure your correct method of payment is entered on the registration form. For Singapore MPA courses, course administration and invoices will be managed and issued by Wavelink Maritime Institute.
