Who is it for:
Designed for anybody who will be involved directly or indirectly with the bunkering and use of LNG as a marine fuel. It will be of particular interest to managers who will oversee operations, ships' crews, shore personnel and anybody who may be engaged in emergency response for such facilities, and those who simply need to be aware of the properties and hazards of LNG or are deciding how to utilise LNG in their business.

Syllabus: This one day training course is designed to bring delegates up to date with the technical, practical and safety-related aspects of using LNG as a source of fuel for ships and includes the following subjects:

  • Introduction to LNG
  • The drivers for using LNG as a fuel
  • Properties of LNG
  • Hazards of LNG
  • Regulations applicable to the use of LNG as a fuel
  • Types of tank used for the storing of LNG
  • LNG Bunker delivery methods

Methodology: Mixture of lectures, discussion and assessment

Certification: Upon completion each delegate will receive a certificate issued by GTT Training.
